Namaqualand Flower Tour
5 Days / 4 NightsSafari – Day 1
Depart to Augrabies Falls 08h30 from your guesthouse. During the flower season (August and September) this desert region explode into a symphony of colours. Activities at Augrabies: Game drives to visit the various viewpoints, walk to the Falls (6th highest in the world) and hiking the 5km Dassie Nature Trail. You can also do the optional sunset drive with rangers in an open truck to see nocturnal animals.
Overnight: Augrabies Falls National Park chalets/lodges.
Excluded: Meals (restaurant is available).
Safari – Day 2
Early departure to Springbok, situated in the heart of Namaqualand. (300km) We drive through the vast and open Bushman land, to arrive in the afternoon at our guesthouse (Olive Tree B&B – 4 Stars Graded) Afternoon drive around the town of Springbok.
Overnight: Springbok in 4 star graded B&B.
Meals: Breakfast, Light Lunch & Dinner.
Safari – Day 3
Depart to Goegap Nature Reserve and Hester Malan Flower Garden. Goegap Nature Reserve is 1500 ha and supports close to 600 indigenous flower species, 45 mammal species and 94 bird species. We spend the day in this large reserve, enjoying one of the most beautiful wonders that Nature has to offer us. We do various game drives. Lunch made the traditional way can be taken at the Reserve. Late afternoon drive back to Springbok.
Overnight: Springbok in 4 star graded B&B.
Meals: Breakfast, Light Lunch and Dinner.
Safari – Day 4
Depart to Namaqua National Park (including Skilpad Nature Reserve) Situated on the N7 national road we drive through the town of Kamieskroon and then 18km along the Wolwepoort gravel road. This 103 000 ha Namaqua showcase captures the full grandeur of the flower seasons. We spend the day at this reserve. Afternoon drive back to Springbok.
Overnight: Springbok.
Meals: Breakfast, Light Lunch and Dinner.
Safari – Day 5
We visit the Mining Museum at Nababeeb, then depart back to Upington. Tour end late afternoon at your guesthouse.

Meals as per itinerary:
- B = Breakfast – cereals, coffee and tea, fruit juice, eggs, rusks, and fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, and pears).
- L = Light Lunch.
- D = Dinner – Braai broodjies (sandwich on fire with cheese, tomato, and onions) salad, corn, rice, potatoes, vegetables, chicken, sausage, and other meats are available.
EXCLUDED:
- Bottled water / soft – and alcoholic drinks / snacks in between meals (shops available at every camp).
- Conservation fee of R252 per person per day Augrabies, payable cash or credit card at Augrabies.
GUESTS NEED:
- Binoculars, sun block, hat, closed shoes for the evenings, insect repellent, torch, and toiletries.
- Please keep luggage to a minimum (towels, linen and cutlery are supplied).
